Refund Policy

At Young Handyman Services, we take pride in providing reliable, high-quality home repair and installation services. Because our work involves time, labor, and materials, our refund policy is designed to ensure fairness and transparency while protecting both the client and the business.
1. Service Fees Are Non-Refundable
All payments for completed services are non-refundable.
Once labor has been performed, we cannot issue refunds for:

Time spent on-site
-
Completed repairs or installations
-
Diagnostic or inspection work
-
Any labor performed during the visit

2. Deposits & Booking Fees
If a deposit or booking fee is required for your appointment:

Deposits are non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed.

If you reschedule more than 24 hours in advance, the deposit will be credited toward the new appointment.

If you cancel within 24 hours or fail to provide access to the property, the deposit may be forfeited.

3. Materials & Hardware Purchases
Any materials, hardware, or special-order items purchased for your project are non-refundable, including:

Light bulbs
-
Toilet seats
-
Anchors, screws, or mounting hardware
-
Fixtures, parts, or components
-
Adhesives, sealants, or consumables
If items are unused and eligible for merchant return, store credit may be issued at our discretion.

4. Workmanship Guarantee (Not a Refund)
We offer a 7-day workmanship guarantee on labor performed.
This guarantee covers correction of issues directly related to the work we performed — not refunds.
The guarantee does not apply to:

Customer-supplied materials
-
Pre-existing issues
-
Wear and tear
-
Issues arising after additional modifications by the customer or third parties
If a workmanship concern arises within 7 days, we will return to evaluate and address it at no additional labor charge.

5. Unsatisfactory Conditions Beyond Our Control
Refunds cannot be issued for situations outside our control, including:

Structural issues
-
Hidden plumbing or electrical problems

Previous faulty repairs done by others
-
Customer miscommunication or incomplete job descriptions
-
Inaccessible work areas or unsafe conditions

6. Service Denial
If we arrive at the property and the job cannot be performed due to unsafe conditions, incorrect information, or inaccessible areas, a trip fee or minimum service fee may apply.
This fee is non-refundable.

7. Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback for a legitimate service may result in:

Immediate termination of further services
-
Submission of supporting documentation to the payment processor
-
Potential pursuit of recovery for completed labor and materials
